Accepting First language expression, learning a word of 2 of the language (Greetings/ thank you...) and using it alongside English, and teaching specific words, phrases and sentences are excellent ways to start!

Use books to look for items, letters and sounds, to discover questions and answers using the 5 Ws, and to play with intonation, cadence, accents, and more... Invite parents to read bilingual storybooks to your class and watch your students fill with pride!
